Game on Philly
Partnership program between Game On Philly and John Welsh Elementary School for the physical and emotional health of our students.
The Collaborative is excited to bring the Game on Philly to your school. This summer we had tremendous success with the Game on Philly experience and are looking forward to expanding our reach to more students at Welsh Middle School and throughout the School District of Philadelphia. The Collaborative along with our partners at Temple University and the School District of Philadelphia would like to thank you for joining our virtual program during this abnormal school year. The students will participate in a remote program that consists of two components:
- Digital physical activity programming offered on the Game on Philly mobile application
- Activity Kits that will be delivered directly to students’ homes.
The remote Game on Philly program will be approximately 6 months long running from December – June 2021 with a summer Game on Philly option (details to be provided later). The physical fitness activities, workout videos, and challenges on the Game on Philly mobile application led by Collaborative member organizations’ sports coaches will ensure that the middle school youth have a positive outlet during this difficult time. There are over 150 videos for youth to watch along with countless challenges from Philadelphia’s professional teams. The Activity Kit will include sports equipment, public health information, and fresh produce.
